It was awe inspiring. A Look Ahead....... A Look back Thursday's League Championship races will be a special race for a ton of reasons.  As always we will attempt to show that our program is the best in Jeffco by winning the "Program Score" ( adding the team finishes of Varsity and Junior Varsity together for all teams, low score wins).  A few Seniors will run their last race of their career.  Some of you will look to redeem difficult seasons with one great race and others will look to cap off already successful and rewarding seasons with one more great race.  Lastly, it will be special for me for the simple fact that I will be out there, cheering you on, when it seemed I would not.  Some things to watch for this Thursday.... in order by Race....  Team Camp Report and Important Information for Getting the Season started on August 13th  2018 Team Camp was a success. A fitting beginning to arguably one of the most anticipated and exciting seasons in program history.  Lip Sync was hotly contested with every team doing an incredible job in performing their Disney themed song. The winning margin was a mere 2 points of scoring with Moana's "You're Welcome" leaving with the championship trophy (mini guitars) over Mulan's "I'll Make a Man".  Mueller State Park provided an incredible two days of running for the team. The highlight of the running came on Monday. As roughly 16 team members climbed the final climb of camp together with the mantra "5 more steps for the team" as their guide. Essentially the idea is that as you climb the steep trail and your legs and lungs are burning with effort, you will come to a point where you will want to back off and stop. However,...

Friday, June 8, 2018 BELIEVE Aaron LeBlanc April 26th, Jeffco JV championship. I knew this was my big opportunity to show what I was made of. I had dreamed of this moment. There I was toeing up to the start line in perfect racing conditions eager to just run. Everything in me focused on the start gun and all of a sudden, BAM! I was off racing my 3200m. I thought in my head that 8 laps couldn’t be that bad as I had prepared for the moment. I ran with some guys and then passed them. I felt good for 5 laps and then I felt like everything fell apart. I began to hurt a lot but I knew I could not stop. I knew I was going fast but time seemed to slow down. Through all the pain I heard one word that would change me. With me rolling into my last 200m I heard Stenny yell “Aaron, you have to believe!”.
